ACOUSTIC differences between a clarinet and oboe

Since young, I had always have an affinity for musical instruments. Being from a typical Asian background, I learned to play the piano since I'm 6 years old. I have always been interested in the physics behind certain musical instruments. By undertaking ISVR 3063 Musical Instrument Acoustics, I was able to better understand the acoustic elements behind the design of musical instruments. I used the knowledge learned from this module to write a paper discussing the acoustic differences between an oboe and clarinet which both were from the family of woodwind instruments developed in the late Baroque era (1680-1750).
